Project Description: Illustrate three conceptual editorial illustration for the New York Times.

Client(Sender): New York Times

Message: The message of my illustrations will be to show the prescription drug epidemic in a way that shows the dangers. It will show how easy it is to fall into it, once you start its becomes a chain that weighs you down. Pretty soon you feel trapped and time is running out. 

Audience: Adults aged 30-90.

Purpose/Objectives: Illustrate three conceptual editorial illustrations. Show the dangers of opiods and how you can get stuck in a trap once you start taking them due to their addictive nature. 

Specifications: 5 inch by 5 inch


Project Schedule and budget: The project launched Tuesday November 27, 2018. The project will be due Tuesday December 11, 2018. The budget will be $600. $40/hour. Estimating 15 hours.

Illustration Idea/Concept/Thematic Statement: I will be creating a conceptual editorial illustration to represent a point of view of opiod usage. The context will be more psychological, rather than physical.
